Canada Invites More Than 1000 PNP Candidates Through Express Entry Draw
The Canadian High Commission, IRCC(Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada) has invited applicants through its Latest Express Entry Draw.
The Authority has released 1,613 ITA; however, it only includes express-entry candidates with Provincial Nominee Program nominations. Under this Canada Express Entry Draw, candidates are required to score at least 743 CRS Score.

Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Draw
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) offers a category Express Entry draw to all applicants who have the intention of staying in any province or territory of Canada, and 600 additional points are granted to their CRS scores. That is important because it gives the provinces an opportunity to select immigrants according to the needs of labour and demographics for Canada.
This round saw the IRCC inviting 1,613 candidates who had their nominations by the provinces. The cut-off score for the applicants being invited is as high as 743, with an increase of 600 points.
Trends In Recent Express Entry Draws
The latest Express Entry Draw was released on October 7. It follows a series of other important draws during 2024. As of September 19, the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is, by focus, welcoming 4,000 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 509.
It is the latest in a series of CEC-specific draws increased by IRCC, which can transition temporary residents already living and working in Canada into permanent residency.
Since July 2024, IRCC has issued 21,800 ITAs for candidates under the CEC program, which is testimony to the government’s intentions to cut down on temporary residents and meet its annual targets.
Understanding The Express Entry System
The Express Entry system was introduced in 2015 to oversee applications into Canada’s three main economic immigration programs; three programs make up the core of the Express Entry program, which include the following;
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Candidates are ranked using the CRS point system according to a number of factors, such as age, education, employment history, experience, language proficiency, and province nominations. The higher the CRS score, the higher the chances of getting an ITA in the Canada Express Entry Draw by the Canadian Immigration Authority.
The IRCC conduct the express entry draw in two-week intervals, with some draws targeting applicants through categories that opened up in May 2023 to address labour market shortages or demographic goals.
